gap-libs software package provides GAP computer algebra system, essential GAP libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gap-libs
gap-libs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gap-libs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gap-libs *
You will get with gap-libs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
